Companies used to offer lifetime guarantees on clothes. L.L. Bean used to offer one, but they discontinued it in 2018 (it’s a one year guarantee now, which is still not bad). I believe the same is true of Eddie Bauer. Darn Tough still offers one on their socks. That’s kind of crazy—socks, of all things? But most clothing brands are done with that kind of deal. And… nobody is offering a new deal like that, are they?
Well, Manresa Clothing is.

I wrote, a while back, about their move to make everything in the USA. One benefit of that change is that Mike can be much more hands on with quality control. He can shoot samples back and forth with the factory much faster to get the product to be exactly what he wants it to be.
The result is clear: he is confident in his product. Many modern warranties are limited to problems that result from product defects, but if you notice, the Manresa guarantee doesn’t say that. He knows that normal wear and tear won’t cause your clothes to fall apart in a year like some do.
And he knows that good clothing gets better with age. Five years from now, those jeans you wear every day… yeah, they might get a rip or a tear here and there. They’ll take them, return them, send them back, and let you show off your new old jeans to all your friends.
